Ifixit Manta Case

The case

I have an Ifixit Manta screwdriver set. It’s great. It has every bit I need. But the case it comes with sucks. The lid is held on with magnets so it can slip off if you drop it, and it has even come off in my backpack.

I found a cool parametric toolbox by Yanev and modified it to fit the screwdriver set. I printed it from PETG (so it won’t warp if I leave it in the sun) and put it all together. It takes 6 M3x30 screws that serve as the hinges and latch points. It works really well and the latches snap closed nicley. I don’t think it’ll be coming open by accident.

The latch

Much better than the old one.
